Conducts emergency room and crisis assessments for patients under 18 dealing with issues like acute psychiatric or severe behavioral  emergencies, suicidal ideation, or out-of-control behavior. Provides stabilization, determine level of risk and whether further more intensive psychiatric services are needed by transferring to a different facility to ensure child’s safety.
